High tide, dawn or dusk. Back right (ferry side) corner for squid. We've had a couple of nuts sessions on salmon off the back left as well. The tide runs pretty hard so use big jigs that sink fast, as the tide turns, you'll get about 75 minutes of time to really work your jigs before it starts barrelling right to left and makes it hard to get anything done.

There's always a chance of catching squid.
Seems like a low wind today, try for garfish too. Burley hard.

If salmon is around, i find it is actually a good easy fish to catch on lure. Since it's pretty much just cast as far as you can and constant retrieve as fast as you can. No need for twitch pause etc etc.
Maybe you do it first to find if they're around or not. When you catch one or two, let them try. I do that with friends who don't really fish, always work for me to get them the taste of fishing.

Cast a metal at the water then reel it in for salmon. It largely doeant matter which one or how fast.
