Mulloway in East gippsland

Good after noon all, I have recently done a mulloway run along the south west coast, and was wondering if anyone knows what the status of mulloway along the South East Coast, say around the gippsland lakes heading to the boarder? Reports are rare and wondering if that's an indication of this fish's population.

Also, where is the best bet for salmon atm? And have they truly moved in?

I am local, but just haven't had the chance to get about lately after the fires, so went up SA way.

Thankyou kindly Isaac

No.
I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you.

Plenty of salmon. Pick a surf beach. Any beach. The fish are there.
Lures or bait,it doesn't matter.
Quick tip: If bait fishing use a paternoster rig with a blue surf popper on the top dropper. The poppers are outfishing bait by 5 to 1.

Sounds like you're on to it then... With the salmon that is what i've always done when using bait, a Paternoster with a blue popper on top :tu:
Also true about the beach not really mattering, as long as you pick the right gutter
Thank you for your reply
