Yep, lots there - just a matter of moving round a bit til you find them. We found small pilly or squid bits the best bait. Bagged out on school but only a couple of KG. Filleted and dropped in flour, hot pan and whiting McNuggets :) :)

Yeah the school whiting are awesome eating. Just a bit fiddly filleting and cutting the ribs out. So easy to cook. I have been dipping them in a very basic tempura batter. Just water self raising flour salt and a teaspoon of brown sugar. Into a non-stick pan with a bit of oil. About a minute each side, then get into them.

Vurry noice :) Worth the fiddling round. Bit of wastage but luckily the bag limit allows enough for a feed. I wouldn't want to be feeding two of us with just a couple :( :9

Another 11 this morning. Bite was a bit slow on the wrong side of the tide. Plenty of boats out on the lake and the town is very busy. :gj:

Back there again this morning. 4 KGW and 6 school whiting. Very busy out on the lake. Quite a few boats are catching them off Kalimna shallows. I decided to have a look for salmon down at the entrance on the change of the tide. Manage 6 in about 15 minutes before they disappeared. Town is full of people. Bit of a shock after 11 months of virtually no tourists. Hope they are all catching fish and spending 💰💸
