Port Welshpool jetty forecast

Post by shev76 » Tue Nov 24, 2020 3:25 pm

Hi all, looking at heading downt to Port Welshpool in the next couple of days/weeks but have a question about the wind...How windy is too windy and where does everyone get their forecasts from?

to pick a specific day as an example ive had 2 very different forecasts from 2 different sites for 26th Nov.

26th November
Tides4fishing says 14km WSW
Willyweather says 31km SW

14km doesnt sound too bad but im not sure what it would be like and then obviously the chance of it actually being 31km after a 2.5hr drive out there would be annoying

Thanks

The wind on Thursday will build and peak in the middle of the day then die down towards the evening.

That will be an extremely difficult spot to fish in a stiff SW, dawn and dusk should be ok.

This is the correct answer... Welshpool is no fun when the wind is up.

Awesome thanks. I did think that was going to be the case just didnt know which to trust but majority of the weather sites said windy.
Definitely wont be worth the round trip, will have to wait for a better day.
