Finally some decent weather and no other commitments so I went out from Lakes this morning. It was cold! the icy road warning was going off as I drove through heavy frost on the way down. The plan was to try inshore, then go wide and have a crack at the pinkies on the reefs. I did not make it to the reefs, there were some good size flathead about so I stayed inshore. I also caught a mystery fish, some kind of saw shark, I thought these were only found up north, anyone know what it is?
Cheers.
What is it?

Re: What is it?
Common sword shark. Lots of them in Bass Strait. Nice flatty too. Sword shark almost the same as gummy to eat

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
