Hey guys,
I headed out to the Goulburn River near Shepparton yesterday.
Fished from 10am until around 4pm.
Managed to get 2 decent yellowbelly (41 cm and 43cm) and 2 small cod. I kept 1 yella and the cod were returned immediately obviously.
Scrub worms seemed to be the bait of choice as all 4 fish were caught using them. The yabbies hardly got a touch all day.
It was a beautiful peaceful day out on the water. I only saw 2 other boats in the area.
I’ve attached a pic of the 41 cm yella that I kept.
Cheers

Nice going Boydwilliam
2+2= a whole heap of fun. And always nice when there isn't a lot of boat traffic.
On the Yellow, I've never had one, on the line or plate. How do you plan on cooking it up?
Cheers, Bugs

Re: Goulburn river near Shepparton yesterday
Thanks guys.
Bugatti I’ll probably just stuff it with lemon wedges and rosemary, wrap it in foil and put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
I’d much prefer to cook it under hot coals but won’t have the time to get a fire going.
