Estuary Perch on Topwater

Post by mazman » Wed Feb 19, 2020 5:30 pm

Hey guys,

Latest vid is up, went on a big trip and lost a bunch of footage, fortunately the majority from this evening trip chasing estuary perch has come out alright. We didn't fish for a long time but we picked up quite a few eps between us with the average over 40.

Next time you do a gippy trip you should give the perch a crack. They're awesome fun and there's some genuine monsters out there

Nice one. They do fight hard and aggressive. Especially when they're that big.
What's the surface lure you used there?

Thought I'd pair you guys together and just run through what every fish took.
First one was on a daiwa steez cover chatter 3/16oz - these are jdm but they bring over the 1/4 oz in a limited colour range, well worth the buy

My next fish was on a tiemco soft shell cicada - it turned a treble into a double but I kept fishing it like this until it was really dark and I wanted a bit more noise

My remaining three and all five of dylans took jackall micro pompadours
