imo jim anything up to 2 to 3 pds in the Goulburn ( around us ) is ok to eat...anything else and like you say they get very fatty

in say lake eldion I would only keep something to eat around the pd mark...ive keep a few bigger fish before from eldion and they were full of fat and I really just wasted the fish.

Nice catch BM! I've been hanging for the Yellas to start moving. Might have to give it a crack on the weekend. River is so high around here at the moment though...

Good catches BM, and worth it too getting up and being on the water at 5.00am. Nice time to be on the water early morning as well.

It's not always the big Yella's that are hard to catch, this monster stole about 15 worms and 4 shrimp before I was quick enough to set the hook.......and no I didn't put up much of a fight.
