Kirk’s Point Ramp??
Kirk’s Point Ramp??
Hoping someone can give me some more info on the Kirks Point ramp. I can see from the pictures it’s pretty basic, but interested to know how shallow it is on a low tide and if there are any hazards to be aware of.

Re: Kirk’s Point Ramp??
I launched a kayak there once, pretty tight. But should be easy for a small boat. Rocky left and right and shallow, so straight out.
But I was on kayak, so was okay for me. Maybe best not to launch a boat on low tide.

You can launch boats there but it is a bit shallow at the start. One thing is that if there is any wind from the south it is really hard to retrive your boat

Re: Kirk’s Point Ramp??
Biggest issue is the wind there because there’s no shelter and nowhere to tie up the boat if going solo
