Bakers dozen

Post by Nude up » Wed Jul 29, 2020 9:06 pm

Having not been fishing since I dislocated my shoulder and on a months stand down today was the day. I launched at point Richards around 10 am no need to rush. I headed to Clifton springs to look for squid very disappointing I had 2 sleeper rods in and 1 in my hand nothing not even a knock.
I headed up to grassy point tried again nothing not wanting to go home with nothing I headed out to the drop off past Prince George bank and started drifting. I had 2 rods with half a pillie on 1 rod with a home made snapper snatcher on put out the drouge chute out the conditions were awesome I must have caught 50 flathead but I only kept ones over 30 cm I ended up with 13 fish.
In between tending the bait rods I kept dropping a 2.5” vibe and jigging it. The majority of the fish were caught on the vibe and the snapper snatcher. All in all I had a good day the best thing was I didn’t injure myself.

Like normal you went to the sure fire, sharpen the knives, prepare the batter ,never not caught 50 flaties in a sesion spot last.

Have you ever considered going to these spots instead off aimlessly fishing **** spots and punishing the crew

Double thumbs up. One for the fish and one for not ending up in hospital (i think it was you that ended up tangled up in your boat/trailer last time).
