St lennys snapper, squid, whiting, makerel, pike, garfish

Been a while since posted a report, got the opportunity to go for a fish with my uncle at st Leonard's pier. It was packed when we got there and we struggled to find a spot but managed a small area in the middle somewhere. Everyone was pulling in whiting and pinkies, unfortunately there was too much tangles so we couldn't cast out n settled for dropping bait in close but still managed some great catch. Bait of choice was box squid and pippies from servo and a piece of chicken breast fillets from Coles. Rig of choice is double drop and size 1 octopus hook. Got the 59cm snapper on squid head, makerels caught on unweighted chicken and soft plastics, whiting on pippies, pike on soft plastics. Squid fishing is slow but I can see schools of them casually swim by with no interest in jigs just the occasional 1 or 2 caught here there. Catches are from 2 separate outings last week Cheers

Thanks guys, always fun when there's fish keeping you busy. I'm trying to construct a fishing cart atm to help make carying everything easier. I recently purchased the cart from Anaconda and now I have to rig it out for the purpose. Should be fun

Lol everyone was catching, some bagging out on whiting while others getting half thier limmit no problems. I have no skills when it comes to fishing, just pure luck
