Headed out this morning at 9 am with my neighbour target squid then gummies. We launched at Point richards the headed to grassy point Wayne picked up 2 squid in 2 casts I struggled but managed 2 after multiple jig changes. Then it just went quite time to head to deeper water.
We passed st Georges bank kept going till we hit 22mt. We put out multiple baits whole squid salmon strip baits etc. Very slow it was very still not a ripple and hot. When the tide turned we started to get a few bites a Gray ray some flathead then Wayne who was jigging a soft plastic had a big hit finally getting it to the surface it was a gummy 54cm for the measured length he was rapped.
We had a few more smaller gummies and flathead all returned by 3pm we were back at the ramp.
