Clifton Springs

Post by Nude up » Wed Jul 20, 2022 8:19 pm

Went out of Clifton Springs today around 930 top of the tide we started our drifts around 4 Mt straight out from the ramp multiple drifts nothing. We moved in closer around 2.5 mt and picked up 3 squid then nothing a few more moves over towards the old pier nothing.
We headed out past the channel around 9mt and drifted using pilchards and soft plastics we managed 1 at 30 cm the bait never got touched. At 1pm we headed back to Clifton Springs a couple of drifts for 5 more squid we were off the water at 2pm.
The water was awesome no wind, warm, dolphins, seals loads of penguins a great day to be out of the house

Was a great arvo out there,I fished from 3.30pm to 6pm
Couldn't tempt any squid but got 7 keeper whiting and threw back heaps of small ones around 29-30cm but very thin
