Went out of point richards 9am Friday. Headed over to Wilson spit geelong side of the ammunition pier. Big baits out and flicking soft plastics for banjo's and small flathead.
About 12 we moved closer in and tried for whiting but only managed 3 best was 38cm. Then some salmon and pinkies moved in we kept 7 salmon for bait and 3 pinkies. At 2 time to head back to portarlington we stopped off at 2 weed beds on the way back and picked up a dozen squid. We were off the water by 3pm.
I am amazed how long the ammunition pier is now it has been extended and surprised at the number of boats transiting and anchored fishing in the exclusion zone anyone ever been booked.
