Haha I might give it a go too I’ve spoken to fisheries to see if they will stock it and they are considering it because there like no places stocked in that area

It is literally in the town itself. If you look up sandy creek road Pyalong you will find it. :tu:

No Gra, probably a day trip thing but you might get away with camping in a couple of spots, cheers davo.

Wait so there’s actually a decent number of yellas? And potentially cod? In the creek or weir

I went for a drive on Saturday and had a look around. The weir is almost like a big swimming pool with a small concrete wall. It is very fishy looking water and I would've done a bit of bush bashing but I had the Mrs with me so just fished where there was easy access. I had a spin for a while in the Weir but no luck. Ended up driving to the campaspe at Axedale but there were swimmers there so went to Lake Eppalock took a while to find water and when I did the jet skiers and water skiers were out in force. The Coliban river looked really good but you need to do a bit of walking to get to the deeper holes so having the Mrs had to give it a miss as well. Ended up going to Lauriston and had a fish there for an hour or so with no luck but as usual it was crystal clear and conditions were perfect but no fish rising or little reddies busting up minnows. I am going up to give the Coliban River a go on Friday with spinners and SPs I will give a report of how I went.

I might need to give it a crack really keen to find some skinny water yellas and even a rare cod!!! I’ll probably throw around some spinners or small spinnerbaits of tiny divers

Try the campaspe if you want yellas & cod
