The Arthur Rylah Institute have just completed a study looking at the total biomass of Carp in Australia. While it varies from year to year (a lot of carp skeletons along the mainly dry Darling River at the moment) in 2018 it was estimated at 207,774 tons plus another 20,000 tons or so in WA. That is a lot of carp!
