...and that's how you make carp disappear lol. I once forgot to slit the belly on a carp a mate caught so when we threw it back in the corpse floated to the surface and bobbed away downstream, right through the heart of Warrandyte itself...

Also, are Crocs a must-have carp fishing footwear?
Absolutely! They allow me to wade in to net a big carp without getting my shoes and socks wet, they're waterproof, they float and they look great! :P

Nice vid :)

How many do you dispose like that? . I’ve done the same at cherry lake but I have a fear that come the summer when the water clears up …..

I’m thinking there’s a limit to how many I can bury at sea …

Great idea!
True, I always put into a bin and it stinks til the bin truck arrives. Especially in hot summer days.

My “plan” so far is if it’s a creek fish I’ll do CC’s method. Lake fish I’m a bit concerned that they won’t “disappear” that quick and when the water clears up the kiddies and mommy joggers will be traumatised by the slaughter pit that appears before them …. Plan for those ones I think is to stick them in the chest freezer at home and then transfer to the bin on bin day for “just in time” disposal.

I haven’t told the wife of this plan yet though.

Yea my wife would complain about that too, of carp taking too much space in the freezer.

I don’t catch them lol.
If I did though, I’d consider chopping a few fillets up for the cat at home and then I’d just bury the carcass. Foxes and wild dogs would probably eventually sniff it out though, so probably less than ideal.

I wouldn't stress too much about the lakes, I've sunk a few at Albert Park and they get cleaned up pretty quick
