Barwon Heads Kings

Post by Ryguy » Sun Jan 19, 2020 6:28 pm

Well I finally got onto the the kings straight out from the bluff in 35 / 50m of water over the snapper and gummy grounds. I managed to get a bit of action but most just uindersize and a 75cm beauty. When nothing else was working the past couple outings for me I decided to dedicate a day of trolling after hearing of Tuna in the area as a bouns.I was only 30 or 40min in before I had the first king screaming and continued for the next 1hr or so travelling east to west and west to east. X Rap Mags and Halco laser pro 120mm and 190mm all acounted for for fish trolled at 6 to 7 knots. I also picked up a few rats jigging 200g knife jig in pilchard colour. According to almost everyone else out there that I spoke to had spotted Tuna at some point busting out but I didnt notice anything.
