Early start, launching at fishos in ideal conditions. Motored out to the 40m line and trolled bibbed and skirted lures for 45minutes, lost interest and drifted for generally rubbish fish - Sgt Baker, lots of ugly spiky gurnard, and 1 redeeming economy size tiger flatty. Got sick of gurnards and headed to Bells…, neither us or the surfers found anything worth keeping. Northerly kicked and hugged the coast back, found a keeper pinky at Jan Juc amongst the multitudes before heading back to fishos point. Few moves and then we were on!, kgw’s saving the day. 7 x 40cm+ specimens and another good flatty giving us a generous feed to bring home. Was a long day on the water.
