I fished the flood tide this morning and the weather was glorious. Swell would of been 2 to 3 feet with a nasty rip going right to left across the beach. Very little if any kelp and no breeze to speak of. Held bottom ok with a 4 ounce star sinker had two droppers one running blue bait the other pippy. Juvenile salmon were on the run averaging between 4 to 6 inches taking both baits. Also had a problem with crabs taking the baits. No other species were encountered. Dropped into the local tackle shop for a report to find that the juvenile salmon were wide spread throughout the harbour and also being caught of the break wall.
Had a bar meal at the Hotel which was not too bad and is certainly better value for money than some of the higher class eateries you get at Apollo Bay, plus they have beer! Anyway hoping for bigger fish next time, Regards Nafa.

Excellent report. What did you have for main? and did you go for 'chips and salad' or 'chips and veggies'?
