Gunnamatta Salmon Help

Post by FishHunter81 » Mon Aug 14, 2017 9:26 pm

Hey guys,
Would like some advice 're fishing gunnamatta near life saving club.
Last time I went I had trouble locating holes for bait fishing and keeping my rig still mainly. I used size 4 stars. I'm also concerned my line is not strong enough. I have 15 pound on main line. I was using pillies and squid. Any suggestions be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Sometimes 4oz stars aren't heavy enough to hold bottom. You migh also need heavier line

4oz on low tide
5oz on high
I use suffix 20 pound line it tends to keep.
Also head towards tge shank been doing well there latley.
I use blue bait on top and green popper on bottom with bit of pipi on it. Seems to do the job.
Hopefully thats some help
