Gunn Report

Post by FishnMiss » Wed Aug 29, 2018 9:28 pm

Has anyone had some success down there this weekend just gone?
Saw on talking fishing last night some bloke smashed them last week, I presume bait??
I haven't been down there for about a year now but I'm keen to go spinning in the surf again.
Thanks.

Plenty of salmon there, and have been for a while, just getting the right conditions has been the pain.
Same as always, lures have been good, just get walking, go and find them, don't hang about in one spot too long.

Thanks Carl.
I’ve been spoilt/lazy going out in the kayak catching Gummies, small Salmon & big Leather Jackets(which personally for me taste better than Snapper) over the winter in WPB.
But I do miss the adrenaline of casting into the channels & having the Sambos smash the lure then try & escape.
Looks like I’ll just have to keep an eye on the wind & tides & make a dash down that way again.
Thanks for the reply Carl
