Morning bash.

Post by CarlG » Fri Sep 27, 2019 10:53 am

Hit up Gunners at first light this morning, as always, travelling light, and prospect casting while on the move.
Got onto the first patch in the wash adjacent to the deep area with the steep back wall, carried on al the way to the very end, hitting small patches of fish all the way up.
Kept a dozen for various ends, threw plenty back, left them biting
The gunnamatta drag was as painful as ever, but a decent haul was a nice reward.

Nope, virtually dead. One other guy spinning, and a few bait fishos near the ramp

If you didn't like smoked trout you won't like smoked salmon they are very similar smoked.

Nice work. Lucky you living close to the place.

I was itching to go but the bad experience with www.bom.gov.au last time put me off. Wind change was forecasted by 10AM. Same thing as my last visit but the change came 3 hours early and it ruined the trip.

Bait fish is back in northern PPB. It wont be long before the place is choke full of sambos.

I was soaking bait for snapper last night and there were seals around us. Must be chasing salmon as the place was full of bait fish.
