Usually based in Blackburn but down the Island for a week or two. Kikcunda, Woolamai, Inverloch or even Venus are options I guess. Be good to meet a few of you boys prior to Reeves mind.

Gonna have a drive down to Williamsons Beach, near the Desal plant, for a wander today, never fished there but heard a few good things about it.

Re: Monday morning..
Was talking to Brett a few years back about Wonthaggi.... Baxters Beach if I remember correctly? Supposed to be a long walk from any car park. Is that wthe one you mean? Williamsons looked great today, lots of beach structure, great holes that need filling!!!

Re: Monday morning..
LP there are some great spots in inverloch, in particular pensioners point and flat rocks. Pensioners point is an amazing salmon spot that has produced the odd gummy, flat rocks whiting, trevally and flatties. You can pump fresh yabbies from the screw creek area, or if you're salmon fishing walk up and down with metal slugs.
Venus bay is meant to be top shite as well but i've never personally fished there.

Yeah, fished the inlet at Inverloch a few years back and picked up a few nice salmon. Will do a Google on Pensioners now. Thinking Williamsons atm as it's a new spot. But what you mention sounds like it's worth a trip for sure.

Re: Monday morning..
Went to Williamsons Beach as planned and had a ball this morning. Brought four nice bait sized salmon home n threw a good 8-10back. Lost a few too of course. Was surprised to hook a majority in the whitewater when wandering between gutters. Could actually see one of the schools I was hooking into at one point. Lots of walking to find them but we'll worth the effort. Great fun.
Should be set bait wise for next weekend now.
Rich.
