In my mates new boat.
Centre console tinny, great little boat, so much fishing space.
The boys got all the squid before i met them at the pier to pick me up...we the drifted around quail bank, anchored at Joes island and tried so many other spots over the time i was on the boat that i didn't catch ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!

I was lucky that they gave a coupe of their catch for dinner.

I fished wp today tooradin channel quail bank horse shoe channel and a few other spots near lysaghts n didn't catch a thing.. Well actually I caught a crab.. Seems the fish didn't get the memo about today's perfect conditions

Yeah, was a tough day out today. I managed a few fatties in the low 30s and a single whiting that would be nearly 40cm, will measure it later. Also went bait collecting for snapper season and got a heap of scad and slimeys. Very slow going tho

Man at least u got into some fish!! Couldn't believe the poor luck today! Seen a few gummy frames at the boat ramp in the morning which have us high hopes oh well always next weekend

Haha, yeha, was stocking up on bait for snapper season, however, we also intended to pick up some winter whiting, which wasnt very successful. Luckily I managed to pick up dinner for me and the better half, so thats a plus. She isnt very excited when I bring home an esky chockers with Yakkas (Cowanyoung probably) and slimeys, especially when I spend 2 hours after dinner vac sealing the whole lot up.

On the plus side, I have been given approval to go buy an ex supermarket display freezer, from a closing down auction or similar, where I can store a ton of bait on one side, and pre-made meals on the other. Once that happens I intend to catch all of my bait, and not but any bait after that.

Yeah I only seen one boat when we were drifting for squid they had caught one whiting. Was a slow day for wp!

Good stuff on the freezer all that bait will be fun to catch/convert! All the more reason to go fishing can't waste available space in the freezer
