Tenby Point 4/3

Post by 4liters » Sat Mar 05, 2016 10:23 am

Went to Tenby Point last night with a couple of mates, high tide was around 9.30pm so it was a perfect night for it. Unfortunately no one told the gummies it was such a good night because we got one decent hit but no hookup the entire time we were there. There were four groups of people fishing near us but no one else was catching anything either so it sounds like it was just one of those nights. The only fish for the night was a tiny salmon my mate foul hooked through the back somehow.

Nah, the rain mostly stayed north of us. It is a really pretty spot and while it's the first time I've fished there landbased, the channels just a little way out have a heap of fish in them

nah, I'm still waiting for my first elephant. I was chatting to Cheater the other day and he was saying it's a bit strange that there haven't been any reports of them surfacing yet.

Looks like it was perfect conditions - calm, overcast with a bit of a front coming through.

Pity the fish didn't think so. Great looking spot though...

Mike.

They're on the way, I've seen a few reports of them being caught along the 90 mile, in the last week.

Gday
nice pics of the area at tendy point. I have only stopped the car for a quick squiz down there awhile back, I heard its best fished at low tide or the tide running out? Also how far is the channel from the edge of the water as I was just wondering if u really need a surf rod? Any info would be appreciated
Cheers Jase
