Went with a 9ft diawa seajigger (reduced fromm $299 to $100) and a Diawa tierra 6000.
Keen for the rain to go away for a while to get down to the beach.
Also picked up some Rapala xrap, in the clearance bin for $10 each, so picked up 4.

Re: Show us your purchases!
You'd need to ring the store, or go in and look at the local one. Usually when things like that are reduced, they are just tagged instore, not advertised online.Seb85 wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 5:39 amChecked the website, there isn't $100 seajigger anymore.Carrottt. wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 9:24 pmBCF Traralgon, was 2 there, now only 1Seb85 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 8:13 pmWhere did you buy the $100 seajigger? Re: Show us your purchases!
A few new goodies for next season all going well, have CT scans & x-rays this afternoon on the lower back & hips..
They're not improving like I'd hoped at this stage.... just over two months to go I'm hoping there's a good outcome this afternoon..
cheers

Re: Show us your purchases!
Fingers crossed for you Adrian that the results are all good.
Failing that, there might be another option. I've seen this program where they fixed this Astronaut with "fancy additions". You might have seen it , , , , "The Six Million Dollar Man"
Go for the deluxe bionic pack
Cheers, Bill
PS. Nice goodies too, bytheway

More crap to get hooks caught on when storing rods in the hatch for a damp launch.purple5ive wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 10:49 am
have you thought about using a few of those chill bags you can get from woolies and making a sort of cover for the chiller bag?
i wouldnt be keen to cut open the lining and messing with the bag, just incase it doesnt seal properly again etc..
I reckon if I use a razor blade I can slice it open neatly, and then I'll glue it all back up with a patch over the top if necessary. The outside where I'll be making holes won't be getting wet anyway, the bigger issue is the hole I make tearing at the edges if I pick up the bag with something heavy in it.

a little more than living on injections all the time which I am pretty happy with.. I normally have around 800 injections throughout the year to get me through the trout season.. Wouldn't mind having some of the Six million dollar man's gear either..and yes the "delux bionoc pack" sounds good..
cheers

Re: Show us your purchases!
Grabbed a Savage gear MPP2 6'10" 2-4kg marked down from $100 down to $25. Figured for so little dollars it'll do until I get around to replacing the guide on my favourite rod
