Re: Show us your purchases!
My IsoFishingLifestyle order arrived today: a Daiwa Gekkas 74LS, Freams LT 2000S, and a few jigheads. First I thought my Itchy Twitchy was light, and then I picked up the Emeraldas and thought that was light ... but the Gekkas is like picking up a (really long and thin) small pack of Doritos. Crazy. The tip is terrifyingly thin. High (by light gear standards) winds at Mordi weren't conducive to taking it for a spin.

Re: Show us your purchases!
decided to pull the trigger on a new rod and reel for spinning the surf.
Went with a 9ft diawa seajigger (reduced fromm $299 to $100) and a Diawa tierra 6000.
Keen for the rain to go away for a while to get down to the beach.
Also picked up some Rapala xrap, in the clearance bin for $10 each, so picked up 4.
Cheers lads,

Re: Show us your purchases!
You don’t build a reputation and customer base like Ian Millers for no reason. Especially at his price range for the custom range.mazman wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 11:23 amThe millers I'm buying are production rods rather than full customs. So far I've got a codfreak and the twitch but am likely going to get more. I have briefly fished with a couple of the bream style millers and felt they were high quality, hopefully not long until I can start putting some fish on the board and can give a bit more detail.ducky wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 10:40 amCan those millers be called a custom rod at the volumes he is producing? I have no doubt they are very nice though.purple5ive wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 10:34 amFair bit of $$ there by the looks of it.
Be interested in hearing your thoughts on the millers as opposed to the battlers and black label you have
Ive always wondered how these customs sticks like millers and duffs etc compare to off the shelf premium sticks.
Some nice gear there maz.
