Talicas are a beautiful reel and very expensive. Like a lot of the east coast billfish guys I changed over from Tiagras to Tyrnos now, much better.

I always thought Tyrnos were better than Tiagras?

Meh, what's it matter anyway.. they will always be out of my price range

??? Tiagra is a huge step up from Tyrnos.

Tyrnos is a metal frame TLD. They cost $50 more than TLD's are good cheap reel.

But they don't compare with Tiagras.

IMO Tiagras are overrated (price), check the inside of the reels out, Tyrnos is basically the same for half the price just not gold, that's why many are changing over. Call Wellsys tackle and they will give you a run down. Talicas are the best reels I've used, 12s are great and light for switch baiting bait balls.

I have both Tiagras and Tyronos. I have had both stripped for greasing bearing replacement ect.

Tyrnos is not in the same legaue.
