Hi folks,
I'm not sure if this has been covered here in the past.
Has anyone used East Gippsland Charters, chasing bream on lures?
I'd really like to get some tuition and learn some new or better techniques when chasing bream down there, and this seems to be a good option. He has various trips to different places, and I'm keen to find out as much as I can.

Any reports (or other suggestions) would be great.
Thanks,
Neil.

Thanks Purple for the reply.
Yeah he seems like a good guy - spoken on messenger with him a couple of times.
I hadn't seen the iFish episodes, but I'll do a search and see what I can find.
What time of year did you go on the trip? I'm thinking winter might be better for the bream. I'm also thinking of doing a special 3 day trip where he starts at Mallacoota and makes his way to the Bemm. It won't be cheap - but it's a bit of a bucket list thing.

i dont remeber what time i went, but it wasnt winter.

yes the multiday trip seems like good value and covers a few systems.
i would take my own gear if you have something expensive, otherwise he has reasonably ok gear.
if you have a mate to join you then thats even better and will be a lot cheaper for the trip.
even post it up here, maybe someoene else will join you, thats what i did and we both enjoyed the trip.

In winter you will most likely be targeting fish deep using either soft plastics or vibes, rather effective but imo not as enjoyable as fishing for them shallower. If I was you I would be trying to book a trip in for early autumn sometime. Generally get reasonably stable weather at that time of year and the bream fishing in gippsland is typically great at this time too.

Good thinking Mazman - I've been at The Bemm on the shortest days of the year at the winter solstice - it was damn wet and damn cold.
I too would prefer to target fish in the shallows (or surface lures) - I've never really done that before, as the guys I fish with down there are pretty much set in stone bait guys and not that keen on the lures, which is why I'm hoping Frank offers lots of tuition and perhaps even a one-on-one charter.
