With the winds still up slightly and being eager to get a fishing fix I dusted off the g loomis 4wt fly rod and went bush for the morning.

Using nymphs I caught 10 pan sized spotted carp in a bit over an hour wading up a skinny clear running creek.

What the heck is a spotted carp? I will google now. All I think of is dirty stinking European carp when I hear the word carp.
