Re: Don Lake - Healesville today
Fished with the kids again for 6 reddies and a heap of little baitfish? Anyway ran out of worms so I chucked one of the tiny baitfish on and just as we were about to leave the rod went BANG I was on to something decent! Fought very well for about 3 minutes then the hook pulled.im guessing it was either a very large redfin or an eel. The fight was more fish like so I think I dropped a mega Redfin unfortunately. Will try again.DR.SPESH wrote:Fished with the kids for an hour for 4 reddies and kids kept busy catching tiny little fish.

The Redfin bite within 5 minutes of the bait hitting the water so it's a bit of fun.Lightningx wrote:Well done catching the redfins mate. Sorry to hear about the big one that got away.

Yeah it's really good for them mate. My missus has secondry breast cancer in her bones and can hardly walk ATM so when I can! I try to get them out of the house for an hour or 2. It takes my mind off things too. That's fishing bro. Staring at the end of the rod waiting for a bite is pure meditation for me ATM.Lightningx wrote:I bet that keeps the kids entertained :thumbsup:DR.SPESH wrote:The Redfin bite within 5 minutes of the bait hitting the water so it's a bit of fun.Lightningx wrote:Well done catching the redfins mate. Re: Don Lake - Healesville today
It's not the dogs fault, my blue heeler X golden retriever would eat the bag to get to a cheese & vegemite sandwich.
It's the owners fault for not being in charge of her dog.
I walk my dogs at Werribee Weir & I don't allow them near the fisho's, their swims probably annoy them though.
If I'm going fishing, I have to leave them at home.
P.S. Hope your wife comes good real soon..

Cheers. Yeah when I say "dog rage" I should say "dog owner rage" sorry too all those innocent dogs out there who have loose units for owners.Texas wrote:It's not the dogs fault, my blue heeler X golden retriever would eat the bag to get to a cheese & vegemite sandwich.
