Roxburgh Park Lake - Jack Roper Reserve

Post by i_merhi » Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:38 pm

Hey guys,

I went down to Roxburgh Park Lake targeting redfin, i caught about 4, all of them were tiny, between 5-10cm.

I spoke to another fisherman and he reckons they are all that size and wont grow.....

Has anyone fished Roxburgh Park Lake recently or anywhere close by? Catch anything?

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Can't help you out with that lake sorry , but gee thats a HUGE redfin....not ! ..lol
You would maybe think there would be something big in there that gave birth to that tiny fish ! ? .
The old bloke might just be saying that to get rid of you fishing his water hole . Hehehehe

Welcome to the site :waving: Redfin do have a habit of 'stunting' when over populated. They also have a habit of over populating! Must be a few bigger models in there.
