The Hoon and I fish out there quite a bit, stunning bit of country. Those are ripper fish.

Love tailor! They are such aggressive greedy fish, and so much fun on lures, poppers go well for them too if they are in the mood.
How did you go on the fluoro leader, got bitten off a few times?

Luckily did not! I was checking the leader for abrasion after every fish and made sure that it was good Changed it a couple of times.
I had some wire on me but didnt find the need to use it , the 40lb leader was more than sufficient. Neat little FG Knot and good to go.

They are a couple of ripper fish.
You got your just rewards for putting in some effort at the right time.

Adds to the fun if you don't have to muck about with wire, and it can put them off
