when you have onshore wind you need to use the wash to swim your bait out and downgrade on your float. I usually get a cigar float and cut it in half to make a smaller one.

Going by the damage on the line, some of the sharks could of been over 2.5m long
Still not a bad success rateabzz wrote:Tell me about it! We could of had a total of about 15 mulloway for around 20 hours of fishing for them!Kimtown wrote:wish they were that easy to catch in vic, especially western port.abzz wrote:Not everywhere, more so northern nsw.Kimtown wrote:Yeah mint!
Are mulloway a fairly common catch everywhere in NSW? Or are they ghosts like in most vic estuaries?
To be honest i think there is a good amount but not many people target them. I only saw one other group fishing for mulloway in the whole week i was there. But the mulloway "season" hasnt even started yet!
It usually starts around May when the mullet run through. The mulloway are usually bigger aswell. Then the locals fishos will be out
They look even bigger when you get back to Melbourne :rofl:Lightningx wrote:Those tailor look chunky mate. How big were they?
