Hunting and Fishing in Balrenald 25/5/18

Post by Sinsemilla » Sun May 27, 2018 5:29 pm

Went away for the weekend to a private property in Balrenald, NSW for a hunting trip. Ended up getting 4 pigs on Saturday. It's a huge buz chasing down pigs through the bush on the bikes then ghosting the bike to shoot them once you have cornered them or they have tired. Unfortunately once we cut the pigs open they were full of disease. Might be because they have closed off the Murrumbidgee for weir repairs and there is a lot a smelly stagnant water around. Even the kangaroos look sick and skinny.

The fishing was crap with the water being really low. Caught about 20 or so 3-5kg carp on the friday.. I haven't caught a carp in years.. I forgot how smelly they are!

All in all a good weekend away with a lot of laughs and action.

Cheers, Anth

Nice work getting rid of feral pigs. Hunting, camping and fishing is a lifestyle not a hobby

On this farm the pigs thrash the farmers feeders. The land is so dry the only food the animals have is pretty much from the feeders.

I also found some deer rubbings upto 7ft high in this area i was stalking in. I might have to make a trip back soon..
