Stevens weir at Deniliquin nsw

Bendigo angling club reports that anglers in the know, it was well worthwhile for the trip to Stevens Weir on the Edwards river near Deniliquin,NSW.
Darren Touhey has just had a weekend to remember at Stevens Weir boating six legal cod to 72cm along with numerous undersized cod and four Golden Perch to 53 cm.
According to Darren conditions were ideal with no noticeable current to speak of with the fish taking lures trolled either up or downstream.

Did not take my boat to echuca otherwise might of had a look.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish

I've always wanted to fish the Edwards as I've heard its a great place for natives, too bad its a bit of a drive :down:

I intend to fish the Edwards around Mathoura area it is supposed to be good fishing.I was going before Xmas ,but dpi were saying the tracks were under water at the time.

Yep Drew not planning on going till spring I reckon.mainly just a reconnaissance trip to check out some new water. :bite: :shark: :a_goodjob:
