Awesome fishing, such a shame they hog the big ones in SA. I wonder how old a fish of that size would be? Could be catching the salmon equivalent of me.

Btw Niroj, the only things we upgraded were hooks, 4/0's and 5/0's, and the decoy snaps, went from 2.5's to 3's lol..
Still got the same 10lb finns on, same leader type etc..
Even caught the two bigger ones on a 50 black mack lazer, (that still had a 2/0 single on), same lure type I had on for most of last gunner season.
Had a sesh with the richters as well, which was phenomenal..had 5/0 shout assists on the rickies..

Now that's a good size salmon. You've got to be happy about that catch. I'm envious. :a_goodjob:

Great effort guys ! the only place I have caught salmon that size was at a place named " The pinnacles " it's a beach half way between Bermagui and Narooma, down a steep stair case, I saw schools of them traveling through the curl of the surf, a sight that I will never forget, you could virtually pick the fish you wanted and cast a slug straight at him ! oh ! and there were huge tailor mixed in with them.
He who has the most fishing rods WINS ! :ts:
