done any landbased? picnic bay jetty is good for squid at night at the start of the jetty or where there is squid ink on the jetty planks.
No joy land based yet but I've given it a fair crack.

Did see 3x 1 meter long Spaniards follow up my lure at Picnic Bay jetty!

There was a turtle hanging around and I really didn't want to hook him...

Did see a huge school of gars getting smashed by Tiger squid in the shallows in broad daylight which was pretty spectacular!

Will give Picnic Bay jetty another go on Saturday. Lots of locals casting out live herring... plenty of baitfish around.
Are you coming to our snapper season meet up? lol
That’s not an unreasonable question.
if he can come it will fun and i would like this to be yearly meet up

and OMG, Coral Trout is up there with the best tasting fish I've ever had, beautiful pure white flesh that simply melts in your mouth!

I have never tried Coral Trout but my folks often Campervaned to their friends in Queensland. "Wazza" (Wally) as Dad called him, would only keep Coral Trout for his table and the other fish to friends and family. The folks said it is the best fish they have ever eaten, and they came from a fishing Island and we were brought up with fish. They have tried everything that walks, crawls, swims, flutters, drifts and grows in the ocean, so for the folks to say that, they must be awesome.

That dinner does look amazing , , , , is Seb up there with you, because that looks like the culinary delights that come from "Café de Seb"

Cheers, Bugatti
