Yep and a heap of work done to remove willows from the river banks and replace with gums. Also work done with land owners to leave snags in the river providing habitat. Also in trying to keep stock away from the banks.

One of the reasons for this post was to show the variety in the river there and the high level of natives.

That's a lovely macca mate. Truly a beautiful part of Victoria up around Woori.

Have caught 1 other macca there a few years ago too. Not that common (for me) but still there and looking healthy. Both returned of course :tu:
