The nong and its tributaries can surely do with re stocking !!
Its not about restocking.
You don't restock a sewer.

I used to ride a pushbike to the Maribyrnong and Jacksons Creek when I was a kid.
And sometimes brought home a beautiful 1 pound rainbow.
I tell my kids and they reckon I'm on drugs.
I'm sure that is on a lot of people's wish list. Such a massive project though. It'd need a major rebuild of the storm water system and much stronger environmental laws.

If they could stock bream that would be a start. Anyone who dishes knows you need to travel at least an hour from melbourne. It's too polluted and even if you do get a fish, I wouldn't eat it.

Hahaha stocking bream into the nong? You'd need a shortage of fish first.. Ever sounded the river? There's bream stacked up thick as hell around the structure. You'll find the city bream aren't lacking in numbers. They are just smarter than your average fish having seen literally thousands of lures and baits over the journey.

You sure this is fair dinkum ????
CC's page 47 shows the Wimmera river at Horsham 1 month ago & you wouldn't stock it with one fish, let alone 60,000.

Yep, flowing again due to some recent rain.

Went out there the other day - I should have taken some 'before and after photos', but as I didn't catch anything, I didn't bother :(

The River around Horsham nearly always has water in it, but some of the other more remote stretches of the River (where I fish) can dry up fairly quickly during a bit of a dry spell. I also noticed my 'secret spot' recieved a few Yellas :)
Winners forget they're in a race. They just love to run.
