After yesterdays great result and last nights celebrations it was a slow start we got to rhyll at 9, the plan today troll xraps if nothing give jigging a go where we see likely indications
We trolled for 2 hours nothing not even a hit and today was perfect
So we went to the pinnacles and gave jigging a go my mate who is ten years older than me gave it away after half an hour and went to bait who had non stop fun pulling up lots of reefy critters, still nothing we decided not to chase mako's we will wait for some more warmer weather, we motored over to the punchbowl area which was packed with people on the rocks and trolled some hard bodied lures we hooked one salmon hood size right at the boat big jump lure thrown ah well.
My mate loves flathead so we decided to just drift in 40 mt we pulled quite a few often double headers with couta which we kept for bait.
I thought I would put up a picture of the lures used today which caught nothing

Re: day 2
Was wondering how you may have gone today mate!
Looks like perfect conditions out there. Shame they didn't want to play ball. I wonder if that low barometer may have had an influence?
Thanks for the report and the photos. I'm sure you still had fun out there all the same.
Cheers, Red
