Phillip Island for 4 days - Advice on gummies

Post by Persistence » Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:25 pm

Hi guys
Heading to Phillip Island for a few days with the family. Looks like it's going to blow west - south west during that time. Launching from Newhaven or Rhyll and wanted to give the gummies a go. looking at the chart I was thinking off Rhyll in 12.5 meters or Observation point in 15 meters; or should I be fishing the edged of those channels in shallower.
Not been there before so looking for some advice or anywhere else to try out of the w-sw winds.
Thanks!

Maybe have a wander into Cleeland bite for some squid, and maybe think about the Corals for a gummy. 9mtrs has always done the trick for us. Tons of good ground around that North Eastern area of Phillip island.

Weather is trash I’d just enjoy the scenery.
