Woolamai first

Post by FishnMiss » Mon Jan 27, 2014 3:21 pm

Hi everyone,

A mate and me headed down to Woolamai this morning around 5.30.
We went down to the second point to fish off Woolamai.
The weather was great, tide was still moving in. We found a spot about 250 meters away from the stairs also trying to avoid spots where the surfers might be (Well that didn't work, they just came near we were- Nuts I didn't bring my Tuna oil  with me). Anyway we still caught a couple of Small salmon which I'm goin to BBQ tonight. We caught 2 others but they were a bit too small so we put em back.
There were heaps of surfos, people walking dogs on the beach.
I personally prefer quieter spots but we had fun. Also got bitten by a stupid Marsh fly  There were heaps around.
All up we were there till about 10.30, wading in the surf was nice and refreshing, anyway good fun for my first time fishing off a beach.

had one of those invade my work today, freaked me and the other guy on out, would have been about 3 inches long with massive long antennae, caught it in a tub, released it outside and shat myself as if flew towards me, wasn't expecting that!,
anyway sadly the only successful CnR today (RIP my poor cicada  )
