Fantastic report! How were you able to identify all the different species mentioned? Did you have reasonable web access throughout the trip?

Cheers Jim! We're planning a trip to Madagascar at the end of the year before the illegal logging completely ruins the place. Very excited :)

Thanks mate! We did a bit of research before we went there so most of the species we knew on sight. But for all the frog, bird and invertebrate species that we didn't know we'd just write a brief description of them in our phones when we saw them, then when we had web access (which wasn't very often) we'd use an Indian wildlife app to ID them. We ended up with almost 50 bird species which we thought was pretty impressive, until my dad came back from Africa and showed me his bird list of 120+ species

a great report . the most disappointing thing i found when i went to goa was the rubbish and plastic bags everywhere. you have a good eye though the lens and should pursue photography further
