This just the start of the fight with the greens and the AJP
I call bull on this comment the Victorian Labor Government has been a big driver of recreational fishing in this State.
AJP: Animal Justice Party. Not the ALP.

And it's Darebin council we're talking about, a primarily Greens council.
Thanks for the correction I apologies Sandef pitfall of being blind as a bat...

The Preston angling club don't oppose the ban due to the high levels of pollution in the lake

Well Well Well
Dont know where you guys see the trash as down on the Bellarine its clean as.
Trail walkers will pick up stuff and put it in the bins provided.
I would hope people on this forum dont walk past trash -Pick it up and bin it
I often walk the portarlington pier and am forever removing plastic bait wrappers, line, hooks and drink bottles I don't mind but there are bins provided. It is just a bit disappointing that it's the fishing community whether they are locals or day trippers.

Yeah Portarlington breakwall is pretty bad at times. I think it probably attracts the wrong crowd.

Lots of inconsiderate people out there.

Armed with a picker, I went out last Sunday and did my bit for the environment. Just from one rock groyne in Hampton. I filled one garden bag with beer bottles, cans, water bottles, bait bags , etc.

I wish those fishos who saw me cleaning up the place will start taking their rubbish home!
