I can't understand why the kingfish only turn up during the warmer months when they are around new zealand all year round. I can't wait for this season hopefully the new ramp at cowes will be finished and I can stay at my mates and target the western entrance of westernport

A couple of Kayaking guys came over from SA to fish with us for Bluefin Queens birthday W/E , we are now heading over to there happy hunting grounds near the power station at Pt Agusta at the end of September
one of these guys pulled a 27 kg king last year around this time and looked like it was a serious kayak capture

I like you hope to target them this coming season locally just picking the weather good enough out the front to do some days under paddle
