What am I doing wrong?????

Can't seem to catch any bait fish while snapper fishing. Where there is snapper, there gotta be baitfish right? I've be using all kinds of burley, bait jigs, paternosters etc What bait fish can I find in reefs?

just go to the market and buy your bait there or go catch squid/salmon

At. boat ramp like warmies you can catch some mullet before u head out,off the pontoons

Usually if fishing WPB in particular, bait fish are caught before going snapper fishing.

I have heard of people putting out a sabiki bait jig, whilst fishing for snapper. I know sometimes a bait ball will pass under the boat, however that bait ball could be the small whitebait.

fishing off Olivers hill, I have seen garfish come up the burley trail.

I have always found the finer the burley the more the bait fish appear gars are suckers for surface burley, try using breadcrumbs or pollard mixed with tuna oil so when it hits the water it makes a cloud watch the baitfish turnup
