IQF Pilchards

With Snapper season just around the pier, can anyone recommend a place to get IQF Pilchards by the box. You can get 15kg boxes for about $50 but the last place I bought them from which was in Laverton was just a bit on the small side. I also bought Silver Whiting and never again, they stunk. Not going back there.

Yeah, I've had mates buy their bait from here, very fresh and reasonably priced!

Thanks Cam, I did speak to them today and their pillies are little smaller than what I want to get, around 14cm.

So I've decided to give them a go this year. I've started using snapper snatches and half a pillie on each hook will do the trick. I also like the single pillie on a snelled rig that floats down the column, that's why I want the larger pillies. Oh well. Easier to rig IMO.

We've got plenty of Hot Shotz rigs (Snapper Snatchers for the uninitiated!) too, heaps of colours and our Kiwi friends catch plenty using them.
