Stir fry sounds nice. will also try a different of recipes. Any tip on the heat settings? High heat, quick cooking or low heat, slow cooking? Will the cala feel like rubber sole if cooked slowly? I will make the cala very tough to chew so my wife wont eat my baits. :roflmao:

My wife asked me to cook cala rings tomorrow. I dont eat cala but apparently she liked the way I cooked the cala rings for her last time. I tried to eat but I cant swallow the bugger. :lolf: Taste was OK but I just cant push it down my throat!

Dont ask me why I dont eat cala...it is a long story.

Loool you funny bugga! Just cut them into cubes.. and give them criss-cross into the slices.. sauce and veggies is entirely upto you... get the oil hot first and throw in all the veggies and give them agood toss around then add the desired stir fry sauce.. i usually use oyster sauce.. or soy.. i think ill post up my recipe soon when i catch some fresh cala lol or buy some..

Then let the flame sit for abit.. on medium .. not too long u dun want your veggies to go soggy and mushy .. so say bout afew mins then turn the heat on full blast and throw the cala in last! remember that give it acouple mins ONLY! the longer you do it.. the more rubbery it gets LOl so cala always cook quick they should curl.. i usually throw them in and once they curled or turn white im happy and take them out :) Goodluck Fc lol :cook2: :notworthy:

Thanks Vinhii. The longer I cook, the tougher it will get. GOOD! I will cook the cala for 2 hours before serving it to my missus. I want to save my baits. :lolf: :roflmao:
